The Iron Workers and Ironworker Management Progressive Action Cooperative Trust (IMPACT) strive every day to make a positive difference in the construction industry and in the lives of over 120,000 members and 3,000 signatory contractors.  They believe that all men and women – including those who serve – should have access to stable work and fair wages and have been staunch supporters of Helmets to Hardhats (H2H) since its launch in 2003. 

This year’s $15,000 donation was given at the recent Canadian Building Trades Conference in Gatineau, Quebec.  The check was presented by Iron Workers Business Managers Tom Woodford (St. John’s, Newfoundland), James Hannah (Hamilton, Ontario) and Bob Kozubski (Winnipeg, Manitoba), who received a standing ovation from the H2H delegation.

In a letter to IMPACT Canadian Regional Director Bert Royer, Brigadier-General (Retired) Gregory C.P. Matte, Executive Director of H2H Canada, thanked IMPACT and the Iron Workers for their continued support and generosity in helping H2H achieve their mission objectives.

“On behalf of the Board of Directors of Helmets to Hardhats (H2H) Canada, allow me the opportunity to express our thanks for the generous, collective commitment of $15,000 USD that you and your colleagues recently made to our program.  As such, I would be grateful if you could extend our thanks to each of the three Regional Advisory Boards of the Canadian Ironworker Management Progressive Action Cooperative Trust (IMPACT) for their continued support and generosity.”
