Virtual Contractor College

IMPACT IS NOT ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR THE Virtual Contractor College AT THIS TIME.

The Virtual Contractor College is designed to help develop new Ironworker contractors with a specific focus on low-density geographical and technical areas.

Participants must meet the following criteria to be eligible:

1. All applicants must be a journeyman Ironworker in good standing and be a member of a Local Union contributing to IMPACT -OR- must be affiliated with a current IMPACT signatory contractor and intend to become an IMPACT signatory contractor.


2. Watch the introductory video Becoming an Ironworker Contractor
3. Read the Course Syllabus which describes the expectations of those participating in the course.


4. Complete the 30-minute Small Business Administration (SBA) online course entitled, How to Prepare a Business Plan, and download a template to help develop a business plan. Applicants must submit proof of completion of the course.


5. The applicant must submit at least three professional references from a Local Union and/or the contracting community.


6. The applicant must be able to secure financial support from a banking institution.

To complete an application, all applicants must have a contact record on file with IMPACT.  (Create or Manage Profile)
