“I think that anyone who attended this conference would have to admit that very honest, and straightforward labor-management dialogue was the driving theme of the conference… And in times such as these, that is exactly what people are looking for in their leaders. What the Ironworkers have clearly set forth is that “activities” should not be mistaken for “results”. The more labor (and management) leaders who embrace this approach, the more market share will directly result.”
Mark Breslin President Breslin Strategies Inc San Ramon, CA
IMPACT has developed an Off the Job Accident Program to aid individual iron worker members with a short term disability caused by an off the job accident and help reduce worker’s compensation rates for member contractors. The program supplements the Short Term Accident benefits of an individual iron worker member’s health and welfare plan.
The program covers 66 and 2/3% of an individual iron worker member’s weekly earnings up to a maximum benefit of $800 per week. The program requires a one week waiting period before benefit disbursement with maximum benefit duration of 6 weeks.
Eligibility for the IMPACT program is based on current member eligibility requirements under existing Local Union health and welfare plans and is subject to approval by the respective regional advisory board trustees.
Please direct all claim related questions to the plan administrator, Welfare and Pension Administration Service, Inc. (WPAS). Once an accident claim has been processed, a PIN number will be mailed to you by WPAS. If you do not receive a PIN, you must complete a PIN Request Form. Information about individual claims can be accessed by logging in to MyTrust Login.
