“Southern Company wants to compliment the Iron Worker International Union and the local unions that service our supplemental support contractors for the professional expectations and requirements of their membership. The Iron Workers’ craft workers, working for our contractors, have demonstrated safe and productive rigging skills installing girders, columns, and other construction equipment and materials required at our plant facilities.”

Paul B. Rose
Craft Labor Manager
Southern Company

IMPACT membership consists of union Ironworker District Councils, Local Unions, Signatory Contractor Associations and Signatory Contractors across the United States and Canada divided into eleven geographic regions.

Ironworker District Councils represent large geographic areas which include the jurisdiction of multiple Local Unions. Local Unions encompass a smaller geographic area whose jurisdiction includes multiple counties or provinces. Signatory Contractor Associations represent a larger collective group of individual signatory contractors in the same geographic region and serve as the conduit through which IMPACT communicates with those contractors. Signatory contractors are the companies that employ the union Ironworkers who represent the membership of a Local Union.

IMPACT membership represents a workforce that is well trained, drug free and professional providing the best quality and value available in the construction industry.
