Ironworker Management Progressive Action Cooperative Trust

Expanding Job Opportunities for Ironworkers and their Contractors

Save The Date • Project of The Year • Opens October 1st • 6 categories

Just wanted to say that Mark, Michael and Stuart from FMI and Trevor from PWC did an excellent job engaging the classroom in discussion each day, and had a great program format for teaching. The information they brought forward was extremely useful now as I'm sure it will be throughout my career. This was only my 2nd IMPACT course that I have attended, I would like to commend IMPACT on organizing these events for Ironworkers and contractors alike, IMPACT always put on an amazing program, and does a very good job at making these events comfortable and welcoming to attend. I plan to attend more IMPACT events as the information is always very useful and IMPACT does a great job of finding the right instructors for the occasion. I would like to thank everyone at IMPACT for the work they do to set these events up and providing the opportunity to attend these courses.

My Meetings

Project Manager Development Academy is designed and conducted by FMI and is a tightly structured, three-day course.
Day 1 - September 5, 2018 - 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Day 2 - September 6, 2018 - 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Day 3 - September 7, 2018 - 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

To join the ranks of “best-in-class,” project managers must learn to think and act like business owners. When projects break down, they have to feel like they are responsible for their own money and losses. When customers are dissatisfied, project managers must take it personally. When jobs are running smoothly, they must remain vigilant.

This high-level, immersion experience is built around four core themes, which are developed through intense, experience-based exercises, coaching from FMI’s industry experts and interactive guest lectures on:
- Profitable customer relationship development
- Powerful, integrated project teams
- Financial control of your projects
- Planning projects for profits and customer satisfaction

The goal of this program is fundamental behavioral change. Project Managers will no longer see themselves as just another employee or a witness to project outcomes. Instead, they will become virtual owners who have a personal stake in project outcomes and the tools necessary to succeed.

REQUIRED PRE-WORK: Each participant is required to complete a ProScan assessment, a Time Mastery Assessment, and 360 assessments by peers at least five working days before the event. Registration will close five working days before the event, and no additional participants or swap outs will be permitted.
