Expanding Job Opportunities for Ironworkers and their Contractors

Save The Date • Project of The Year • Opens October 1st • 6 categories

Just wanted to say that Mark, Michael and Stuart from FMI and Trevor from PWC did an excellent job engaging the classroom in discussion each day, and had a great program format for teaching. The information they brought forward was extremely useful now as I'm sure it will be throughout my career. This was only my 2nd IMPACT course that I have attended, I would like to commend IMPACT on organizing these events for Ironworkers and contractors alike, IMPACT always put on an amazing program, and does a very good job at making these events comfortable and welcoming to attend. I plan to attend more IMPACT events as the information is always very useful and IMPACT does a great job of finding the right instructors for the occasion. I would like to thank everyone at IMPACT for the work they do to set these events up and providing the opportunity to attend these courses.

My Meetings

Introduction to Lean Project Delivery: This is a 1-day, 8-hour hands-on workshop. Lean Project Delivery is the process of producing what is needed, when it is needed, with the minimum amount of time, materials, equipment, labor and space.

Numerous projects that have implemented Lean principles and practices have reported a nearly 80% reduction in safety incidents, 30% reduction in project duration and 20% savings in project cost. Yet, many companies and individuals struggle to apply Lean construction techniques because they are unfamiliar with the principles, practices, and tools that make Lean such a powerful program for increasing safety, reducing incidents, gaining efficiency, and creating loyal customers.

At this workshop session, participants will learn how to:
- Achieve reliable workflow
- Maximize value to the customer
- Minimize waste
- Optimize the whole, rather than the parts
- Develop a discipline of learning & continuous improvement

After taking this engaging workshop, you’ll want to learn more about how to effectively implement Lean in your company!
