IMPACT is a labor management partnership designed to bring together Local Unions
and their Signatory Contractors to address mutual problems and create solutions
to those problems. IMPACT’s national and regional programs extend this
approach, creating a national labor-management network, which can address
issues and work together to create opportunities for the union ironworking
industry.
The primary mission of I.M.P.A.C.T. is to expand the job opportunities for union
Ironworkers and their signatory contractors through progressive and innovative
labor management cooperative programs. I.M.P.A.C.T. is a joint,
labor-management, non-profit trust formed under Section 302(c) (9) of
Labor-Management Relations (Taft Hartley) Act.
IMPACT is overseen by a Board of Trustees composed of an equal number of Labor
and Management representatives. IMPACT's members are Ironworker Local Unions
and their Signatory Contractor Associations who are committed to increasing the
competitiveness and market share of the union ironworking industry. IMPACT is
funded in equal parts by the contributions of its labor and management members
who have elected to include IMPACT in their collective bargaining agreements.
